In a letter to Edward W. Bok, 1902 December 27, Beebe requests permission to include "Night in a zoological park" in a volume of his articles. In a letter to William V. Alexander, 1907 March 16, Beebe requests permisstion to borrow the originals of Walter King Stone's illustrations for use in a volume of his own articles. The photograph depicts Beebe seated at a desk, examining a skull.
